Problem

Intake forms arrive incomplete or late, and staff have no time to read them before the appointment

Caveats

This sends health information to Azure OpenAI and stores it in Google Sheets, Gmail and Slack. In the US that likely requires HIPAA-compliant configurations and business associate agreements with each vendor; get compliance advice before using it with real patients. The AI risk level is not a clinical assessment and must not replace clinician triage, and emergencies must never depend on this flow. Needs an Azure OpenAI deployment (cost UNKNOWN).

Steps

  1. Every hour, fetch upcoming appointments from Google Calendar.
  2. Email patients a pre-arrival intake request via Gmail.
  3. Watch the Google Sheet for new intake submissions.
  4. Azure OpenAI reviews symptoms, allergies and history and returns a risk level (Low/Medium/High/Emergency) and doctor prep notes.
  5. Save the results back to the sheet.
  6. Alert the clinician in Slack for high-risk cases.
